I’ve been working on re-designing the company website since I started working for Spinneybeck in 2006. At first things were moving along smoothly, although I wasn’t totally for it, the boss wanted the new site done completely in Flash. So we worked on an entire flash design for months knowing that eventually we will need to outsource to have a custom shopping cart integrated into the new flash design.

Unfortunately We couldn’t use an out-of-box shopping cart like Flashcart without heavy modification because our current shopping cart is very unique. Aside from the few products we sell as standard widgets, different types of products can be purchased through our site, one of which are leather samples that are free to customer as well as the shipping. The other type of products are Leather Rugs, that require individual photos for each rug, and as soon as one of these rugs are purchased they need to be removed from the site. So we were able to hire a team of developers to integrate our flash design into an .ASP powered website complete with a custom shopping cart.
